This comforting yet elegant dish features juicy, well-seasoned patties enhanced by smoky, herb-infused flavors, coming together quickly for a delicious meal everyone will love.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Hamburger Steaks

  • 500g fresh ground beef
  • 100g smoked turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon vegetarian Worcestershire sauce (natural)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

For the Creamy Dill Sauce

  • 200ml plant-based cream (natural)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon mustard (natural)
  • 1/2 teaspoon natural gelling agent
  • Chopped smoked turkey bacon (reserved from above)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Patties: Combine ground beef, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, vegetarian Worcestershire sauce (natural), salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mix gently until just combined to maintain tenderness. Shape into evenly sized oval patties for uniform cooking.
  2. Cook the Smoked Turkey Bacon: Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the smoked turkey bacon until crisp. Remove the bacon, reserving the rendered fat for cooking the patties to add extra flavor.
  3. Brown the Hamburger Steaks: In the same skillet, add olive oil if needed, and cook the patties for about 4 minutes per side until they develop a caramelized crust and are cooked through. Remove patties and keep warm.
  4. Make the Creamy Dill Sauce: Reduce heat to medium-low. In the skillet, add plant-based cream (natural), fresh chopped dill, apple cider vinegar, mustard (natural), and natural gelling agent. Stir and simmer gently until the sauce thickens to a silky consistency. Stir in the chopped smoked turkey bacon for texture and flavor.
  5. Combine and Serve: Return the patties to the skillet, spoon the creamy dill sauce over them, and heat through for a couple of minutes to blend the flavors. Serve hot and enjoy a comforting and rich meal.

Notes

  • Use fresh, quality ground beef for juicy tender patties.
  • Mix patty ingredients just until combined to keep texture tender.
  • Simmer the dill sauce on gentle heat to preserve flavors.
  • Chop smoked turkey bacon finely to avoid overpowering bites.
  • Let patties rest 3-5 minutes after cooking to seal in juices.
