Ingredients

Scale

Beef and Vegetables

  • 300g sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

Sauce

  • 2 tbsp vegetarian Worcestershire sauce (natural)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce (natural)
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar (natural)
  • 1 tsp brown sugar (natural)
  • Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp natural gelling agent mixed with 2 tbsp water

Others

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare the beef and vegetables: Slice the beef thinly against the grain for tenderness. Cut the bell peppers and onion into thin strips. Mince the garlic finely. Having everything prepped beforehand will ensure a smooth and quick stir-fry process.
  2. Marinate the beef: In a bowl, combine beef strips with vegetarian Worcestershire sauce (natural), soy sauce (natural), freshly cracked black pepper, and the natural gelling agent mixture. Toss to lightly coat the meat and let it rest for 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.
  3. Stir-fry the beef: Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over high heat. Quickly sear the marinated beef for 2-3 minutes until browned but still tender. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside to prevent overcooking.
  4. Cook the vegetables: In the same pan, add a bit more oil if needed. Add the minced garlic, sliced onions, and bell peppers. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are slightly tender but remain crisp and colorful.
  5. Combine and make the sauce: Return the beef to the pan along with apple cider vinegar (natural), brown sugar (natural), soy sauce (natural), and a dash of vegetarian Worcestershire sauce (natural). Stir well, then sprinkle in the natural gelling agent mixture. Continue cooking until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and vegetables evenly.
  6. Final touches: Sprinkle freshly cracked black pepper on top for the characteristic sizzling aroma. Remove from heat and prepare to serve.

Notes

  • Freeze beef for 20 minutes before slicing to get thin, even pieces effortlessly.
  • Preheat your wok or pan well for a perfect sear and to keep vegetables crisp.
  • Do not overcrowd the pan; stir-fry in batches if necessary to avoid steaming.
  • Use freshly cracked black pepper to maximize flavor and aroma.
  • Adjust sweetness and acidity by tasting and balancing apple cider vinegar (natural) and brown sugar (natural) to your preference.
