Description

Marshmallow Pops are fluffy, sweet, plant-based treats perfect for celebrations, snacks, or gifting. Easy to make with natural gelling agents and colorful coatings, they offer endless customization to suit any occasion or preference, making them a delightful family activity and a fun indulgence for all ages.

Ingredients

Base Ingredients

  • Plant-based marshmallows, quantity as desired
  • Natural gelling agent, according to package directions
  • Sturdy lollipop sticks

Coatings

  • Plant-based white chocolate, melted
  • Plant-based dark chocolate, melted

Toppings and Flavorings

  • Sprinkles (natural)
  • Crushed nuts (pistachios, almonds, or preferred), quantity as desired
  • Vegetarian Worcestershire sauce (natural), for glaze variations
  • Grape juice (natural), for syrup drizzle
  • Food coloring (natural), for brightening and visual effects

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Workspace and Ingredients: Gather all ingredients and tools. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange lollipop sticks for easy insertion. Melt the plant-based white and dark chocolates in separate bowls over warm water or in short microwave bursts, stirring often to ensure smooth coatings.
  2. Insert Sticks into Marshmallows: Carefully insert one stick through the center of each plant-based marshmallow, leaving enough length to hold comfortably while dipping and decorating.
  3. Dip Marshmallows into Chocolate: Dip each marshmallow fully or halfway into the melted plant-based chocolate of your choice. Let excess drip off before placing the dipped marshmallow onto the parchment-lined sheet.
  4. Add Toppings Immediately: While the chocolate coating is still wet, evenly sprinkle toppings such as colorful sprinkles, crushed nuts, or a light dusting of natural food coloring. The toppings will adhere perfectly to the chocolate.
  5. Let Them Set: Chill the marshmallow pops in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes to allow the chocolate to harden and the pops to firm up. Once set, they can be served or stored in an airtight container.

Notes

  • Use room temperature marshmallows to help them stick better to the sticks and reduce breakage.
  • Melt chocolate gently and stir frequently to prevent clumping or burning.
  • Dip marshmallows only once to keep coatings clean and neat.
  • Follow the natural gelling agent package instructions closely for the ideal marshmallow texture.
  • Store finished pops in airtight containers to maintain freshness and prevent chocolate sweating or melting.
