Description

Warm, flaky Garlic Butter Biscuits combining tender crumb with rich, aromatic garlic (natural) and creamy plant-based butter flavor. Easy and quick to prepare, perfect for any meal or snack with simple pantry ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tablespoon Baking Powder (natural gelling agent)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Cold Butter (plant-based), cut into small pieces
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons Garlic (natural) Paste or Minced Garlic (natural)
  • 3/4 cup Milk (plant-based)
  • 1 teaspoon Vegetarian Worcestershire Sauce (natural)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Dry Ingredients: Whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder (natural gelling agent), and salt in a large bowl to evenly distribute the leavening agent and seasoning for consistent texture and flavor.
  2. Cut in the Butter (plant-based): Using a pastry cutter or your fingers, gently work the cold butter (plant-based) into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs, developing flakiness by coating flour particles.
  3. Add Garlic (natural) and Liquid Ingredients: Mix in the garlic (natural) paste or minced garlic (natural), followed by the plant-based milk and vegetarian Worcestershire sauce (natural). Stir gently just until the dough comes together without overmixing.
  4. Shape and Cut the Biscuits: Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface, fold it a couple of times to build layers, then gently pat to about an inch thickness. Use a biscuit cutter or glass to cut out rounds, reshaping scraps as needed.
  5. Bake to Perfection: Place biscuits on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, brush tops with melted butter (plant-based), and bake at 425°F (220°C) for 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown and aromatic.

Notes

  • Keep the butter (plant-based) cold for flakier biscuits and better texture.
  • Stir just until ingredients are combined to keep biscuits tender and avoid overmixing.
  • Use freshly minced or paste garlic (natural) for the best aroma and flavor.
  • Folding the dough before cutting builds flaky layers.
  • Brushing with melted butter (plant-based) on top gives a golden, flavorful finish.
